The Swarovski Story

Swarovski is a success story that has spread form Tyrol, Austria to across the world, thanks to its high-quality precision-cut crystal.
Daniel Swarovski, an incredibly inventive visionary, was inspired by modern technology he had seen at the International Electrical Exhibition in Vienna. He developed a machine for cutting crystal, and from this, the Swarovski Company was born in 1895.
Swarovski is resilient proof that crystal is not subject to any trends. New products, new cuts, and new techniques stem from a flair for forecasting designs and aesthetics of tomorrow. For this reason, Swarovski crystal has always been an essential component for top designers and legends of the stage and screen. From Marlene Dietrich to the modern runway, wherever entertainment and fashion history is written, you will find Swarovski sparkle.
An additional Swarovski pioneering work: a small crystal mouse made of chandelier components which led to a global collector society and an international fan base. Swarovski jewellery pieces such as the famous Nirvana ring fascinate customers. Almost 2,000 boutiques around the world add sparkle to people’s everyday lives.
Light and crystal – a natural and elemental symbiosis that shows the most important stages in the world with light, be it the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Oscars ceremony, or the palace of Versailles.
